Since the inception of our firm in 1951, an enduring focus of our practice has been a strong commitment to the community in which we live and work. Accuity LLP provides ongoing financial and volunteer support for a wide variety of community organizations. We also work in partnership with the Department of Education to provide support to Hawaii’s public school system.

Accuity professional Kara Kitazaki-Chun: “Yesterday, Julia and I had the opportunity to participate in Palolo Elementary School’s monthly Ha’aheo Assembly. The school recognized outstanding student achievement and presented its teachers with the school supplies made possible by your Holiday Giving Project donations and hard work. One of the teachers was near tears and said to us, ‘it’s so great to know that someone else is also thinking of our children.’ ”
	Accuity LLP is a Business Education Partner to Palolo Elementary School. Palolo Elementary is a school with a high percentage of low-income students, has difficulty raising funds through existing means (i.e. fundraising events, parent participation), is in relatively close proximity to our office, and has a principal who shares in our vision. Accuity LLP’s Aloha Committee organizes activities and fundraisers throughout the year as part of our strategic relationship with the school. Recent activities have included: White Elephant Sale. The Accuity LLP staff donated clothing, household items, footwear and other items to be sold at the school’s annual Fun Fair. Proceeds helped fund school activities and purchase essential classroom supplies. Gift Baskets with classroom supplies. Accuity LLP created gift baskets for each teacher, with basic supply items needed for each classroom. Equipment donations. DVD/CD players, CD/Cassette/radio stereos, shredders and TV’s were donated. Gift baskets and equipment were presented to each teacher in-person at a school-wide assembly.
	Hawaiian Humane Society Petwalk On Sunday, October 12th, twenty-two Accuity LLP employees, families and (furry) friends enjoyed a leisurely walk around Magic Island to support the Hawaiian Humane Society. Donations raised from this event help protect and care for animals and educate humans about animal care throughout the year. This annual event is the only time animals are allowed on Magic Island and include the must see costume contest (for animals).
	Special Olympics Accuity LLP volunteers annually support the Hawaii Special Olympics Summer Games to provide these athletes with the opportunity to experience the excitement, joy and personal fulfillment associated with sport training, competition and life.
	Foodbank Drive Accuity LLP’s Food Drive to support the Hawaii Food Bank resulted in collecting a total of 3,408 pounds of food and $1,220 in just 6 weeks. The Food Drive was structured as a team competition, highlighted by a fun “Fear Factor” event.
	Great Aloha Run Fourteen Accuity LLP employees woke up early on President's Day to paticipate in the Great Aloha Run. The 8.15 mile run started at Aloha Tower and ended at Aloha Stadium. Runners and walkers finished the race, showered, changed and were in the office by 9:00! What a great start to the day. Accuity LLP also supports the Aloha United Way through our annual fundraising drive.
