Meet John, an associate in Accuity’s audit practice.
From my first day at Accuity, I felt like I was making a difference within my team and contributing to client projects. I reviewed financial statements, conducted research, assisted with preparing reports and other documents for multiple clients. I also had the chance to learn from senior associates and managers about building client relationships through service and communication.
After two years, I’ve worked on multiple audit engagements, prepared proposals and even made suggestions for process improvements. The work is fast-paced and sometimes days just fly by. We have a lot of tight deadlines to meet, so multitasking and time management are important skills to have. I’m also studying for my CPA exam and have gotten a lot of support from my manager to be able to do so.
Why I Like Working At Accuity
Every day at Accuity is different. I get to learn new things, but I also get to apply what I’ve learned in school. I feel like I’m following the career path I set for myself and that I know where I want to be five years, or even 20 years down the line. At Accuity, there’s so much opportunity for growth within the audit practice or to move into consulting. They really support my development and have lots of trainings and seminars so I can keep learning new skills.
